How to Create Resume

Decide what type of job you will be applying for and then write it at the Beginning of the resume. This can become your objective statement, should you decide to use one, or be used in the first line of the profile of your resume to give your reader a general idea of your area of expertise. You may also write cover letter describing briefly your objective.

After Writing objective write about your Training/Education. Recent graduates may write their training and Academics (Education). As you are more Experienced your Education Section moves towards bottom of resume .You may write Projects you have done. Write four or five sentences that give an overview of your qualifications.

Languages: C, C++, Java, VB, VHDL, Verilog, Perl...
Operating Systems: Unix, Solaris, Win NT...
Tools: Auto CAD, Cadence, Avant!, SDK...
Database: Oracle...

Then briefly describe the jobs you have done in the past.

Write Your Keywords Like Database, Networks, Java, VLSI Design, DSP, CAD, Quality Management,  ERP, Project Management. You may make different categories in it depending on your qualification and Degree. Keywords are very important and sometimes they may be single most important thing for Interview Call. Some times resumes are short listed using Keywords .They may be your Skills, Major Companies and even Universities.

Soft Skills like "Strong Communication Skills" "Hard working" "Team Player" are definitely important for Managerial Positions.

Starting with your present position, list the title of every job you have done, along with the name of the company, the city and state, and the years you worked there and your duty.Also write what did you contributed in all your previous jobs.

* Got Orders from Other Countries.
* Did hard work to get ISO/SEICMM... Certifications.

After all You have to convince your reader about your achievements and be able to generate a significant return on their investment in you.

Next Comes Your Address. You may write it at beginning or at the end of resume. But don't forget to include email, Phone, fax..

At the bottom right corner you may also write your Link (Web page) of resume in small fonts.

Note
Never use personal pronouns in your resume (I, my, me).
